2°  ICT

How do I know if I need this class?

This class is destined for two categories of students in 2nde:

  1. New students, since we do not know what computer skills you have learned so far.  These students need to come and take a multiple choice test to determine their level.
  2. Students not too confident using computers, notably the ones who always watched while the other students clicked and typed during their previous years in computer classes.

However, any student who wants to come is welcome.  There are just over a dozen computers, though, so it will be a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is this year my last chance?

Yes.  In 1er and in terminale, there are no more computer lessons offered.  Why not?  Because computers are fully integrated into the classes, notably science and we assume that you know how to use them.

What if I am doing the IB or "S"?

Anyone doing the IB or doing "S" will be using the computers in the science labs to make measurements, graphs, etc.  Also, in "S", there is a test on how well you can use a computer in the laboratory.

How do I sign up?

In September, information will go out to your homeroom teachers about how to sign up for the lessons during the year.  Also in September, there will be times when you can come to the computer room and take a little test to see where you need the most help.
